Ah, Vienna
Well, our heroine made it to Vienna in one piece.
On the way to the airport she met a very cute Egyptian man. He had just spent months in New York and was then heading back home to Alexandria and then to Dubai for a job interview. He looked like the typical scruffy backpacker with a nice little 'fro and a goatee. Probably mid twenties. There was some low-grade flirting going on, and wonder of all wonders, he was on her flight. but since he had only a two-hour layover in vienna and no visa to go into the city, she decided not to pursue.
There were four crying babies on the plane. Out heroine had to refrain from tell the parents to get a grip on their kids. two of the babies were full-on screamers. very painful.
And she got really sick (apparently lost her motion sickness patch at some point). unfortunately, there was a man in her row with really bad body odor. everytime he lifted his arms to stretch, she ran to the bathroom to toss her cookies.
a not on austrian airlines: although the media center was problematic, the food was great. dinner was some kind of thai chicken curry. very tasty.
When she got to the hostel (wombat's - very clean), she immediately took a shower and a 4 hour nap!
Now she is off to find the Harley store. They close at 6, so she has a good 2.5 hours to try to find that bad boy.
