The Helminth Chronicles

Thwarted! But there is an upside.

Stardate 8/13/2004: Our heroine is told by her new, wonderful physician that her tests have come back negative. Again! Now, in another situation, our heroine might feel that she had been hallucinating and would have asked for a psych consult. However, she firmly believes that if her previous PA or physician would had done proper testing, she would have been vindicated. It is highly likely that the mebendazole cleared everything.

So, our heroine is thwarted. She may never know what she had. But she has decided to run screaming from the XY practice and has asked the new doc to be her primary care physician. She said "I do."

In addition, our heroine still feels a bit freaked out by the whole course of events. This writer imagines that our heroine will continue to, shall we say, watch her back... side for a few more months.

On another high note, our heroine's cholesterold level is good and there is nothing wrong with her kidneys, lungs or thyroid. She has been encouraged to exercise and drink red wine. For those of you who know our heroine, can you guess which is going to be the easied to do? Yes, well, this writer has heard that the 2003 vintage for European wines is supposed to be good because of the heat wave last summer.

Thus, it is highly likely that the helminth story of the Helminth Chronicles may come to an end. But our heroine always has many adventured in other realms (not just her intestines). So stay tuned. You might find out some back story. Or about those skeletons in her closet.
